Major Integration Brings OEM Repair Data to Diagnostic Tablets
The tire and automotive service industry just got a significant upgrade. Autel U.S. has partnered with ALLDATA to embed original equipment manufacturer (OEM) repair information directly into MaxiSYS diagnostic tablets. This integration, which rolled out on November 1st, means technicians now have instant access to factory repair procedures right alongside diagnostic scan results. For tire shops and general automotive repair facilities, this development simplifies the repair workflow and helps ensure work meets manufacturer specifications.
The partnership affects several MaxiSYS tablet models, including the MaxiSYS Ultra S2, MS919 S2, MS909 S2, and the original MaxiSYS Ultra line. ALLDATA Repair, which provides diagnostic and repair information sourced directly from vehicle manufacturers, covers more than 44,000 engine-specific vehicles representing roughly 95 percent of cars on the road today. This comprehensive database includes OEM repair procedures, diagnostic flow charts, technical service bulletins, component locations, specifications and wiring diagrams. Over 400,000 technicians trust ALLDATA as their go-to resource for manufacturer information.
How the Integration Changes the Repair Process

Previously, when a fault code appeared during a diagnostic scan, technicians would need to manually search for corresponding OEM repair information in a separate system or database. Now, with one click, they can pull up ALLDATA’s complete repair guidance for that specific fault code without leaving the tablet. The system displays a split-screen view that keeps the diagnostic results visible on one side while factory instructions appear on the other.
This streamlined approach does more than save time. It helps ensure technicians follow exact factory procedures when addressing tire maintenance issues, suspension problems, or brake system faults. The tire industry continues to evolve with enhanced training and technical resources, and this integration represents another step toward standardized, accurate service delivery. When a technician spots a problem, they can immediately access testing procedures, removal and installation instructions, illustrations and safety precautions all within the same workflow. The tablet automatically carries vehicle and fault code information through the repair process, reducing the need for separate lookups or context switching.
Access to Advanced Diagnostic Intelligence
The integration also provides access to ALLDATA Diagnostic Intelligence, a newer platform that combines OEM repair information with real-world repair intelligence and artificial intelligence-assisted insights. This means technicians benefit not only from factory specifications but also from patterns observed across thousands of actual repair cases. For tire shops handling wheel alignment, suspension work or brake diagnostics, this dual-source approach provides confidence that the diagnosis and repair strategy align with both manufacturer intent and proven field experience.
Existing ALLDATA Repair subscribers can use their current accounts to access this new integration at no additional cost. Shops that don’t yet subscribe can evaluate the service through demonstrations scheduled at major trade shows, including the SEMA Show, where Autel showcased the integration at multiple booth locations.
What This Means for Tire Shop Operations

Tire retailers and independent service centers benefit directly from this improvement. Many tire shops now perform wheel balancing, alignment, TPMS diagnostics and suspension checks that require accurate fault code diagnosis. When technicians have instant access to OEM repair procedures, the likelihood of correct diagnosis and proper repair increases significantly. Industry leadership changes continue to shape how tire manufacturers and service networks collaborate, and tools like this integration support that evolution toward better-informed, more efficient service delivery.
The partnership also supports tire maintenance workflows specifically, streamlining access to OEM procedures at the point of scan. Whether a vehicle exhibits a tire pressure monitoring system fault, suspension wear indicator, or alignment-related code, technicians can now consult manufacturer procedures without delay. This reduces diagnostic time, minimizes repeat visits and strengthens customer trust that repairs meet factory standards.
Looking Forward
As the tire market introduces new technologies and products, diagnostic capability becomes increasingly important. Modern tires incorporate electronic monitoring systems, and wheel and suspension components are more integrated with vehicle electronics than ever before. Having immediate, accurate access to OEM repair information positions tire shops and automotive repair facilities to confidently diagnose and service these complex systems. This integration represents a meaningful step toward connecting diagnosis with factory specifications and service precautions, ultimately delivering better outcomes for customers and clearer, more efficient work for technicians in the field.
